Crowned in Union: Yihud im YHWH
There is a moment in every soul’s journey when we lift our eyes upward -- not toward the stars, nor toward earthly thrones, but toward the ineffable radiance that crowns us from within.
This is the path of what the Essenes call "Yihud im YHWH", also known as "Union/Yoga with Yahweh," "HaShem Yoga," "Crown Yoga," or "Kether Yoga."
"If the heart and mind are in a state of confusion, depression or guilt etc. then the vagus nerve or “Tree of life” IMMEDIATELY or “quickly” kicks into sympathetic mode thus affecting our spirit via hormone imbalance, ion depletion and emotional blockages. The crown of enlightenment is the highest state of consciousness, the true understanding of “I am” and eternal life. As the neurons of the brain are illuminated in the process of enlightenment, they resemble a crown. This is the electrical potassium currents vivifying the mind."
Crown Yoga is the way of remembrance, of returning from disconnection into divine embrace, of realizing that we have always been seated on the throne of victory, wearing already the crown of light that God placed upon our spirits in the beginning.
The Royal Way of the Crown
In the traditions of Israel’s mystics, the crown—Kether—is the summit of the Tree of Life, the gateway where finite consciousness communes with Infinite Source. The sages tell us:
“The fear (awe) of the LORD is the crown of wisdom” (Sirach 1:18).
In India, the yogis speak of Raja Yoga, the Royal Path, and here too the “crown” signifies not only authority but illumination—the opening of the Sahasrara chakra, the thousand-petaled lotus of divine consciousness.
When we practice Yihud im YHWH, we join this stream of universal wisdom: the Jewish kabbalist, the Indian rishi, the Christian mystic—all bowing, all rising, into the same great light.
Why the Crown Matters
The Crown Chakra is the point of union between the self and the Eternal. When activated, life no longer feels fragmented but flows in coherence, like sunlight pouring through stained glass.

The breath of God (Ruach HaKodesh) enters us without obstruction. The body feels vitalized, not because energy is added, but because the blockage is removed—the spinal column becomes a temple tower, straight and unbroken, carrying the Chai, the Universal Life Force, upward.
Think of a lamp suddenly reconnected to its power source: the bulb does not “create” light -- it remembers what it is meant to shine. So too, the awakened crown reminds us that we are not beggars of light but bearers of it.
The Words of Power
This week, as we gather in yoga, we will chant the Seven Sounds of Power, ancient syllables, each unlocking flow, harmony, and ecstatic remembrance. These sounds are not mere vibrations—they are doorways. As the Psalmist writes,
“By the WORD (sound) of the LORD (Light of Mind) the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host”
Psalm 33:6
Sound creates worlds; sound heals bodies; sound awakens spirits.
To chant these syllables is to step back into the workshop of creation, to remember that we too are creators. As the vibrations resonate through your chest and rise into your crown, you will feel not only healed but enthroned.
"48. And upon each seal, inscribed in light, is a Qol haKowach, a sound of power. And that sound is whispered in the ear of those who take initiation into the Essene Way."

The Smoothness of Tranquility
The Essenes spoke of Walking Samadhi -- what they called Suach, the “Smoothness of Tranquility.” Imagine moving through your day -- washing dishes, writing emails, walking to the train -- with the same peace you feel in deep meditation. Nothing shakes you, nothing startles your inner stillness. The crown remains open, even as your hands are busy in the world.
Through practices like Hitbodet (mindful devotion in every action) and Hitbonenut (contemplation on sacred themes), we learn to live not in exile from God but in constant embrace. Every act -- every sip of water, every moment of silence -- becomes a ritual, an initiation, a kiss from the Beloved.
Wearing the Victor’s Crown
To be crowned by God is not pride -- it is humility so deep it dissolves the illusion of separation. When you allow yourself to be crowned, you affirm: I am not a castaway. I am a child of the Most High, a vessel of infinite love, a co-creator with the Source of all.
The Apostle Paul once wrote,
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it… they receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable crown”
1 Corinthians 9:24–25
This imperishable crown is not won by striving but by realising who you are and letting the Father-Mother/Mother-Father - True Source Love - God place it gently upon your brow.
And so, when you sit in meditation this week -- whether in lotus posture or simply upright in your chair -- remember my dear brothers and sisters of love-light: you are already enthroned. The crown is already there, shining.
Your practice is not to “earn” it but to feel it, to rejoice in it, to bask in it and to let its rays dissolve the old weariness of separation.
A Closing Vision
Picture this: you rise from meditation, your spine like a golden staff, your head kissed by unseen fire. You step into the world, but something has changed. People see it in your eyes. You no longer carry the heaviness of the disconnected one. You walk with Suach -- smoothness, tranquility.
You smile, not because life is easy, but because you remember your origin. You are crowned. You are connected. You are victorious -- YOU ARE AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN ENOUGH!
Beloved soul, the invitation of Yihud im YHWH is simple: return to the embrace of the True Source, and remember the crown you already wear.
This week, as our voices weave the Sounds of Power, as our spines rise like living temples, may we feel again the wonder of being clothed in light, the awe of being crowned by Love, and the unshakable joy of knowing:
We are One with True Source Love. We are crowned. We are whole.
